Pikesville Straight Rye – Pikesville Straight Rye received a Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, an “Extraordinary, Ultimate Recommendation” from the Ultimate Spirits Challenge and was named the Second Finest Whisky in the World in Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible 2016 as well as the World’s Best Rye Whisky at the World Whiskies Awards 2016 – Heaven Hill also won Distiller of the Year at the Icons of Whisky 2016. Master Distiller Denny Potter carefully selected each extra-aged barrel and determined the spirit’s ideal proof level. With its mashbill of at least 51 percent rye, with corn and malted barley as the “small” grains, Pikesville Rye embraces the tradition of American Straight Rye Whiskey that set the stage for Rye’s current renaissance.
